Publishing professional, poet, editor, former staff writer and founder of Blak Ink, Bakara Johnson is an avid traveler who enjoys sharing her personal experiences in poetic prose and verse. She is the author of several self-published works, and has enjoyed writing poetry as one of her life passions. She devotes her professional career to assisting writers in facilitating better communication with readers.

Bakara holds an A.A.S. in Business Technology, a B. A. in English and MPS in Publishing.

Her goals are to create, write and publish content that represents the Black narrative accurately, and in authenticity.
